Chicago aldermen are scheduled to meet Monday for a marathon session on the city’s underfunded pension system. The special meeting is scheduled to last six hours, and it’s prompted fiscal watchdog groups like The Civic Federation to pay attention.

It’s been almost two weeks since Chicago teachers ended their seven-day strike. On the first week back after the strike, at Blaine Elementary School in the city’s Lakeview neighborhood there’s lots of enthusiasm but also, relief.

In Illinois, pollsters estimate that undecided voters make up only four to eight percent of the electorate. But national presidential campaigns spend a lot of time and money trying to reach that tiny slice of the electorate. So what does it take to swing a swing voter? To find out, WBEZ is tracking a few of them up until Election Day.
