The afternoon keynote was delivered by “Colonel Tribune” Bill Adee of the Chicago Tribune, who talked about being the online web ambassador for the Chicago Tribune newspaper, as well as online friends and followers on key social networking platforms like Facebook, Digg and Twitter. He also mentioned how Colonel Tribune builds rapport with his followers and listens to story ideas, news tips and site suggestions along with recommendations on how nonprofits can connect with Colonel Tribune and let him know about the work they are doing to impact Chicago communities.

Making Media Connections is an annual conference where hundreds of community leaders, nonprofit executives, journalists, independent publishers and media relations experts gather to promote news that matters.  Listen in as media experts and the general public gather together to discuss getting communities’ important stories told.
