Listen in to hear about Chicago’s culinary explosion over the last 25 years as our city was transformed from a heartland stronghold of meat, potatoes and ethnic favorites to one of the country’s (if not the world’s) culinary centers.

Carol Haddix, food editor for the Chicago Tribune and a founding member of the Culinary Historians of Chicago, discusses Chicago Cooks: 25 Years of Food History, with Menus, Recipes and Tips from Les Dames d’Escoffier.  She will be joined by Barbara Glunz, to discuss the changes in the wine and spirits business for the last quarter century.  The Glunz family’s wine shop on Wells St. has been a pillar of our city’s legacy since the late 1800s.
