Chicago’s runoff election takes place on April 5. Voters in 14 wards will head to the polls to decide who they want representing them at City Council.
To help with those decisions, Eight Forty-Eight is holding informal debates with some of the candidates. Host Alison Cuddy was joined by Michele Smith and Tim Egan of the 43rd Ward in Lincoln Park. That’s where issues like retail development and what to do with the old Lincoln Park Hospital site are coming into play.
Tim Egan is a hospital administrator. And Michele Smith is a former federal prosecutor and current Democratic ward committeeman for the 43rd Ward.
