This Sunday I will be one of about 45,000 people who are crazy enough to think that running 26.2 miles through Chicago
is a good idea. While a few co-workers have reminded me of what happened to the first guy
credited with running that distance, I've remained undeterred. The training has been everything from fun to grueling to downright annoying. But, this being my first marathon (along with about 18,000 others
), I've been keeping an audio diary of my travails. Here's a sample from my first really
long run in July.
Otherwise, I'm in desperate need of some new songs I can get stuck in my head to keep me motivated throughout the race. Any suggestions?
