Listen in to a reading by Ed Roberson, Distinguished Artist in Residence in the Department of English at Northwestern University. Mr. Roberson, a finalist for the L.A. Times Book Award, taught from 1990-2003 at Rutgers University and from 2004-2006 at Columbia College in Chicago. He has received the Shelley Memorial Award of the Poetry Society of America (2008) and is one of three writers honored at the recent “Literature, Culture, & Critique” conference organized by Callaloo magazine (2008). Roberson is the author of numerous volumes of poems: To See the Earth Before the End of the World (Wesleyan University Press, 2010), The New Wing of the Labyrinth (Singing Horse Press,2009), City Eclogue (Atelos, 2006), Atmosphere Conditions (Green Integer, 1999; winner of the 2000 National Poetry Award series), Voices Cast Out to Talk Us In (Iowa, 1994; winner of the Iowa Poetry Prize), Etai-eken (University of Pittsburgh Press. 1975), and When Thy King is a Boy: Poems (University of Pittsburgh Press, 1970).
