Justin is out today, so I thought I’d take a stab at rounding up the stories bubbling up in the creek today. The story of the Burr Oak Cemetery in Alsip is fittingly grisly for the Bubbly Creek. Four employees have been charged with dismembering human bodies. There are also reports of graves being double occupied. Yikes! It seems like everyone is getting a jump on commemorating the 30th anniversary of Disco Demolition this Sunday. Here are two articles about the same photographer who was there. Steve Edwards’ 2004 interview with Steve Dahl will air on Eight Forty-Eight tomorrow. Chicago 2016 kicked off a round of public meetings last night- just hours after Mayor Daley touted the bid as the city’s best bet for economic stimulus over the next eight years. Appropriately enough, many questions at the meeting focued on who would benefit if Chicago wins the bid. And finally, this guy had a guitar broken by United Airlines and a year later wrote a song about it. Now United wants to use the song’s video internally to “improve the way passengers are treated around the world.”
