Forget about Wrigley Field for a minute.There’s another iconic Chicago institution that could soon have a new corporate boss. Yesterday, the city of Chicago revealed the half-dozen players vying for a long-term lease of Midway Airport. All but one is a partnership or consortium of companies, and they include finance and insurance giants in addition to companies that actually run airports. It’s the latest step in the push to essentially privatize the airport in exchange for a big upfront hunk of cash.

DePaul University transportation expert Joseph Schwieterman has been an advocate of leasing out Midway. He joins us with his thoughts on the airport’s suitors.
