William Shakespeare died 400 years ago. But today the bard is alive and well in Chicago. This city is currently hosting Shakespeare 400, a year-long celebration of his work through all the arts—including food.

This month, 38 Chicago chefs signed up to create dishes matched to Shakespeare’s plays including skewered hearts for Othello and bubbling ice cream for MacBeth.
