Afro-Iranian Lives is a documentary that explores the multi-century presence of Africans in the Persian Gulf, shedding light on how immigrants from Africa (some came voluntarily, some did not), have become integrated into the Iranian culture.

Afro-Iranian Lives is part of the Center for Black Diaspora’s Winter Quarter film series “Cinema: Transnational Subjects, African & Black Diaspora Immigrant Experiences”. The films cover a wide scope of discussion on the Diaspora in little known places like Iran, as well as the migration to places in Europe and the Americas.

Recorded Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at DePaul University - Richardson Library - Rosati Room 300.
