Aphasia is a potentially devastating yet surprisingly common disorder that can affect a person’s ability to talk, read, write and understand spoken language. At age 32, playwright and Steppenwolf ensemble member, Tarell Alvin Haney, received a 2013 MacArthur genius grant to support his work.
