Alderman Tom Tunney is pitching stricter rules for the proposed outdoor plaza at Wrigley Field.

It’s been two years since the North Side alderman first proposed an ordinance that would alcohol sales on the plaza but the Cubs say, that hasn’t gone anywhere. Tunney’s latest proposal adds limits to when beer and wine can be sold, and restricts access to ticket holders.

A Cubs spokesman says the proposal is far from a compromise — and the organization has gone around the alderman, applying for a liquor license from the city.
