The rescue of 33 Chilean miners last month has sparked a discussion about how we harvest, utilize and sustain our resources. Chilean economist Alfredo Sfeir Younis is president of the Zambuling Institute for Human Transformation. He spent more than 30 years at the World Bank, where he focused on the rights of indigenous peoples, poverty eradication and international trade.  He tells us about the rescue effort’s impact on Chilean society and shares his views on the proper moral course for global sustainability and development.
