Most candidates for Chicago mayor are now one step closer to getting on the ballot. Monday was the first day they could file the required 12,500 signatures with the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners. By 9 o’clock Monday morning when the office doors opened, the line of candidates snaked through the underground pedway below Daley Plaza.

WBEZ’s political reporter Sam Hudzik was there. He joined host Shawn Allee to talk about the day, and what’s ahead in the race for mayor.
