Cucumbers so crisp, tomatoes so sweet

 I savor the taste of fresh local food
Nix pesticides and factory farmed meat
Wholesome diets do not hormones include

Visit a farm and pull carrots from soil
In order to better appreciate
The farmers that in the wee morn’ hours toil
All to deliver fresh food to your plate

Meat must be slaughtered with methods humane
Love animals, ecosystem and me
A veggie sandwich is far from mundane
With apple, shaved fennel, yogurt and brie

Enjoy your food and take care of yourself
