The American Friends Service Committee is proud to introduce “Windows and Mirrors: Reflections on the War in Afghanistan,” a nationally touring mural exhibit which memorializes the Afghan casualties of the war. The exhibit started touring in 2010 and has traveled to Philadelphia, New York, Los Angeles, and Greensboro, North Carolina. In addition to the exhibit, AFSC’s related events and activities increase community dialogue about the war and how we can move forward with positive alternatives. Listen in to the closing event for the exhibit, featuring a panel of several of the Chicago-area artists who created murals for the exhibit. They talk about their process and why they felt it was important to contribute to this project.

Recorded Saturday, July 23, 2011 at ARC Gallery.
