Join us for the first of this two-part series, which features a free public conversation where prominent authors and visionaries join early career educators for a close look at the challenge and promise of a future we can only begin to imagine. What will schools look like? How will the role of the educator change? What will be the impact of technology? What do we need to be doing today to prepare our teachers and our children for a very different tomorrow? Speakers for the event include Dr. Kieran Egan, Marcus Arthur Campbell, Luke Carman, Anita Orozco-Huffman, and Silvia Rivera, moderator.

“Beyond These Times” is a working collaboration between three Chicago landmark nonprofit organizations: Chicago Shakespeare Theater, National Louis University, and the Golden Apple Foundation. All three organizations are celebrating important milestones in their history: Chicago Shakespeare Theater celebrates its 25th Anniversary Season in 2011–12, Golden Apple just turned 25, and National Louis University just marked its 125th year. All three organizations bring a rich learning experience to Chicago.
