The Neighborhood Writing Alliance (NWA) is excited to partner with the Black History 101 Mobile Museum, an innovative traveling table top exhibit of Black memorabilia spanning the eras of slavery to Hip Hop. This event is part of NWA’s current Creative Resistance: Art as Activism programming, which explores engagement in social issues through dialogue and art. Joins us as the museum founder, Khalid el-Hakim, addresses NWA writers and supporters as they gather to view “Necessary,” a provocative exhibit celebrating the life and legacy of Malcolm X. A facilitated dialogue follows, exploring provocative new information about the man who changed history and answering questions about how history can change one’s future.
