As we await a verdict in the trial of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, we couldn’t help but notice that it was exactly 9 years ago this month when Blagojevich officially began his campaign for governor. We were reminded of that fact by our friend and former colleague Ben Calhoun. Ben is now living in New York, working as a producer for WBEZ’s This American Life. But for much of the past decade, he covered the former governor for us as both a reporter and news editor/producer.
