Blago Reacts to Ryan Verdict

Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich says he's cleaning up messes left over from former governor George Ryan.

Blagojevich defended his own administration against claims of corruption.

The Governor says, "It's sad and unfortunate that the finger-pointing has begun by some of the very people who entrusted by the public responsibility during the Ryan years."

Blagojevich adds, "They didn't lift a finger. They didn't say a word. They didn't try to change anything."

He says the verdict in the George Ryan trial clearly shows that the former governor betrayed the public trust.

Governor Blagojevich is running for re-election against Republican Judy Baar Topinka.
