Rod Blagojevich’s lawyers are now split on whether the ex-governor should testify.

After Blagojevich’s brother and co-defendant Robert wrapped up his testimony, the court adjourned earlier than usual.

The father and son legal team of the ex-governor say they disagree on whether their client should take the stand, as they’ve promised the jury. Sam Adam, Sr. says he shouldn’t because the prosecution hasn’t proved its case. Sam Adam, Jr. says Blagojevich should testify.

ADAM, JR: He’s a wonderful speaker. He’s always told the truth. The one thing you know about Rod if you listen to the tapes is he’s certainly not shy and he could certainly tell this jury what was in his mind.

Adam, Jr. says they’ll discuss the issue Tuesday night, but the ultimate decision, he says, lies with Blagojevich himself.
