The nation’s biggest conference for female bloggers is coming to Chicago’s McCormick Place this week.

BlogHer is an online community where female bloggers exchange life advice.

Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer Elisa Camahort Page said  the conference brings more than just education.

“Business gets done in these kinds of events,” she said. “Getting out there in the world, [and] meeting other people who are interested.”

“We had attendees who met like-minded people with whom they finally hit on the partners to start that business that they’ve been thinking about,” she added.

This is the third time BlogHer comes to Chicago.

This year’s keynote speakers include Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg and The Walking Dead producer Gale Anne Hurd.

The conference runs from Thursday to Saturday.
