When Sarajevo native Roni Bomboni came to Chicago in mid-90’s during The Bosnian War, he set out to do one thing only - to form a band of Gypsy Punks and Balkan Pimps, fronted by him - The Balkan Elvis. Well, that’s almost entirely accurate.. But in their own words, BomBBone brings “the world party to the war zone.”

Roni, Bazmonti, Edi Bomboni join MusicVox host Jesse Menendez to explain to the world what it takes to be a Balkan Pimp, and why they wear Elvis costumes. Roni also reminisces about his experiences growing up in Bosnia witnessing the war, how it influenced his music writing, and remembers some of the Western music he would listen to growing up in Sarajevo in the 80’s.
