Broadcast Museum in Jeopardy
Museum president Bruce DuMont says Governor Rod Blagojevich hasn't delivered on $3 million in promised funding.
"The Blagojevich Administration has made a pledge to the Museum of Broadcast Communications to fund the museum, and to help build a world-class broadcast museum in Chicago. If someone does not keep their word, that's a problem and it should be a problem for everybody," DuMont says.
He says the state changed the rules of the grant at the last minute leaving him unable to pay the construction company.
A spokesperson for the governor's budget office disputes DuMont's account.
She says the state supports the project but cannot release the money until the museum's private financing is in order.
