The news broke yesterday that Burris won’t resign, but the buried story here is that Burris has the support of longtime political consultant Delmarie Cobb. She was hired by Burris to help spin damage control. Cobb worked long and hard for Hillary in the primary and was a major story at the DNC when she was allegedly called an “Uncle Tom” by then-State Senate President Emil Jones.
