Another month has gone by and that means it’s time for Cheat Sheet, your guide to Chicago’s often contentious and always fascinating school board meetings. This month’s meeting took place exactly one week after Board President Michael Scott was found dead near the Chicago River—a totally unexpected, tragic story. And as might be expected it cast a somber tone over the meeting. But there was still passion, protest, even some conspiracy theories. WBEZ’s education reporter Linda Lutton has the latest.
