This weekend, Chicago will celebrate International Peace Day with a number of events across the area. Two main events main events will be a gathering Friday 9/17, 12-1pm on Daley Plaza and Saturday 9/18, 11am-3pm at Rainbow Beach.

To talk about Peace day and its Chicago roots is Jennifer Kim who chairs the Chicago Build the Peace Committee and Credell Walls, Illinois State Coordinator for Jane Goodall Institute. And Build the Peace Committee is also working with Chicago Public Schools to spread the word about Peace Day.
