The Chicago Jazz Philharmonic combines musicians from classical and jazz backgrounds.

It’s a tricky thing—pairing the malleability of jazz with the strict design of classical music.

But the talents behind the group have managed to create a sound that both highlights the similarities of the forms and allows their differences to complement one another.

The Chicago Jazz Philharmonic: A Collaboration of Genius will perform tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. 

The event takes place at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University in Chicago.
