Chicago Opera Theater’s 35th anniversary season will feature three masterpieces by Mozart, Bizet and Britten. General Director Brian Dickie offers a preview with conductors Jane Glover and Alexander Platt and acclaimed Director Christopher Alden, who will soon make his debut at COT. Listen in to a discussion about Mozart’s final opera, La clemenza di Tito, Bizet’s famous opera (as adapted by the provocative Peter Brook) La Tragédie de Carmen and Britten’s Owen Wingrave, which examines a soldier’s fight for peace. Members of the COT’s Young Artist program will perform excerpts. This preview is presented in partnership with the Goethe-Institut and Austrian Consulate General.
