Starting Offer To Agreement: Where The Teachers Contract Landed On Key Issues

The Chicago teachers strike is over after 11 missed school days.

The Chicago Teachers Union and Chicago Public Schools reached a tentative contract agreement Wednesday night, but union delegates said they’d only return to class if the missed schools days were made up. The strike was finally settled Thursday when the two sides agreed to make up five school days.

Many issues were on the table, but several rose to the top as the most contentious, including class size, staffing increases and teacher prep time.
