As American companies search for ever greater profits, the road most traveled seems to lead to China.  It’s a country the last mayor of Chicago, Richard Daley, visited at least five times.  He went there courting Chinese investments in his city, saying at one point he hoped to make Chicago the most “China-friendly” metropolis in the United States. It’s unclear whether the new mayor, Rahm Emanuel, will maintain the same strategy.
