Chicagoans Share Their Hopes For Trump’s Inaugural Address
As President-elect Donald Trump prepares to be sworn into office Friday, WBEZ asked people in heart of the state’s Democratic stronghold -- downtown Chicago -- what they are hoping to hear during his inaugural address.
“He could say, 'Just kidding about everything I did on my campaign … I’m really going to work close with Hillary.’ ”
“That he doesn’t want to take the job.”
“I have no expectations and I have no faith that he'll do what he says he’s going to do. I don’t have any expectations that his speech will be what he really wants to do.”
“At the end of the day, I want to hear him say, ‘I’m here to represent all Americans.’ ”
“I just want him to be fair.”
