Many know that child trafficking and modern-day slavery are problems in economic sectors of Africa such as agriculture, sex tourism, fisheries, mining, and domestic service. But few may know that we also have a big trafficking problem here in the United States. According to U.S. Congressional figures and numbers from U.S. Justice Department initiatives, 90 percent of U.S. runaways end up funneled or trafficked into the commercial sex industry. Worldview talks about U.S. child and youth trafficking with Kristin Lindsey, CEO of The Global Fund for Children and James Kofi Annan, founder of Challenging Heights, based in Accra, Ghana.
