Circus Punk Poetry!

Mucca Pazza and The Hideout present:

The People in Our Neighborhood.  Meet our neighbors from far and near. Badass bands from out of town and do-good nerds from right here. Mucca Pazza has organized a week of music and community showcases that feature... well... YOU!  The people who gather at Mucca Pazza shows are some of the most interesting people you will meet...

This event features the drum corps of Chicago's infamous punk rock marching band, Mucca Pazza, playing under Young Chicago Authors' performance poets as a benefit for this remarkable Chicago organization.
Young Chicago Authors was founded in 1991 by Dr. Robert S. Boone, a published author and educator with extensive experience teaching teens in Chicago urban and suburban settings. He assembled a group of educators, writers and philanthropists who all believed that young people should have more exposure to creative writing. At present, YCA now directly serves 2,500 teens a year through workshops, performance and publication programs, and reaches 30,000 young people and adults through readership of its publications and audiences at its events.
