City Spends $116 Million On Police Overtime

The city spent $116 million dollars on overtime last year. The head of Chicago’s police union says that money would be better spent on more officers. Union president Dean Angelo says he wants his members to have more quality of life, time away from the job, especially officers working in high-crime districts.
