Clever Apes is dead. Long live Clever Apes.

It’s a sad day here at WBEZ.  Our clever host, Gabriel Spitzer, has left the station and is heading to Seattle. To comemerate his science reporting and the creation of Clever Apes, Gabriel recently talked with Steve Edwards about the top brain-related stories we’ve covered on the show.

Over the past couple of years, you’ve heard about a vibrating treatment for Parkinson’s patients, how our first memories are formed, the complex math behind hallucinations, the twists and turns of our second brain, and a nonagenarian whose sharp mind continues to study the nature of consciousness.

We’ve had a fantastic run with Gabriel at the helm of Clever Apes, and the show won’t be the same without him.
