Cloutwiki just launched as a website providing “an unbiased history of how Chicago’s leaders got started and who they’re friends with.” Admittedly in its infancy, there are already entries for most of Chicago’s City Council and a handful of‚ Cook County Board members, with plans to expand the online encyclopedia. ‚ It’s fun to poke around and see who’s connected and who’s not. I’d love to see some historical entries from the good ol’ machine days about Papa Daley and Council Wars. And it’s unclear at this point whether ‚ their “unbiased history” will include documenting classic machine intimidation tactics and retributions to challengers.
