Mireille Guiliano best-selling author of French Women Don’t Get Fat, and Chef Jean Joho owner of Everest in Chicago, talk about their lives and champion their food philosophies.

Chef Jean Joho, who at 23 years old was executive chef of a Michelin two-star restaurant running a 35-person staff, speaks of the importance of quality ingredients, portion size, and overall simplicity of approach when creating a satisfying menu. Joho was named Bon Appêtit‘s “Chef of the Year”, is the Alsatian-born owner of Everest in Chicago and the Eiffel Tower restaurant in Las Vegas. He has just published The Eiffel Tower Restaurant Cookbook.

Mireille Guiliano grew up amidst cooks, chefs, and restaurateurs in provincial France and was educated in Paris. She is passionate about food and wine and cites breakfast, lunch, and dinner as her favorite pastimes. Mireille Guiliano emphasizes the importance of variety, quality over quantity, portion control, and pace. Mireille Guiliano was recognized as an “ambassador of France and its art of living” by the daily Le Figaro. She has just published the book Women, Work, and the Art of Savoir Faire
