Former media baron Conrad Black was arraigned in U.S. District Court in Chicago Thursday.

He is accused of cheating on his taxes and looting millions from Hollinger International, the company that owns the Sun Times.

Black pleaded not guilty to all charges.

He stands accused of stealing $80 million from Hollinger International.

The judge set bail at $20 million, and restricted Black’s travel to Canada and the U.S.

The judge also granted Black permission to have a Canadian lawyer. Black waived his right to protest extradition proceedings.

The next hearing is Dec. 16, and attorneys say it’ll be a while before the trial gets started.

Another former Hollinger official, Peter Atkinson, also pleaded not guilty Thursday, and was freed on bond.
