Cook County Clerk David Orr Worried About Aging Voting Machines

Cook County Clerk David Orr said for the most part things were running smoothly on the morning of primary elections in Suburban Cook County.

There were the normal challenges of a few judges not showing up and some polling places being locked. He said the biggest concern was aging voting machines.

He expected machines to hold up during primaries, when less voters show up to the polls. However, he’s worried about the machines performance in November, when turnout is expected to be higher.
