Cook County Sheriff Creates Hotline To Report Hate Crimes

Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart says after seeing recent FBI numbers showing hate crimes have been increasing, he wanted to make sure the county is prepared. The hotline is meant for anyone who has been threatened or targeted because of their religion, race or sexual orientation. The sheriff’s office will investigate incidents or connect people with the appropriate agency or outside resources. The 24-hour hotline number is (773) 674-4357.
