Built in 2004 and designed by Chicago firm OWP/P (now OWP/P CannonDesign), North Grand High School is one of the city's most daring examples of public school architecture. The building‚  spreads out over its site--a former brownfield--like a pair of wings. A glassy, tilted entry bay separates the school functionally and visually:‚  walk through the doors and classrooms are on the left; the gym and fitness center is on the right.

There are warm and varied colors inside:

The school is located at 4338 W. Wabansia.
