1. The Jeff Award nominations (non-equity) have been announced, with lots of attention going to Theo Ubique for both Pump Boys and Dinettes and The Light in the Piazza, as well as Griffin Theater with Punk Rock and Spring Awakening. In people writing about the Jeff’s, Best Headline about the awards goes to Tony Adler (or his web producer) with  “No, you’re not on the list this time, either: non-Equity Jeff nominations announced.”

2. President Obama is a fan of Key & Peele (“They’ve got a guy who imitates me pretty well,” he says) which is good, given that Peele does a pretty mean imitation of him.

3. Saki will host the first Creative Control, from Joe McAdam of The Late Live Show. It’s the last Friday of every month and starts this week and features Cameron Esposito, Joe Fernandez, Andrew Smreker (plus other comedy sketches), music from Mannequin Men, and videos by AJ Conover. It’s free, at 7 PM, and BYOB. So, for the young amongst us.

4. Bob Bullen has a list of shows he will never go to, which isn’t just a list of terrible shows, but largely a list of shows that are poorly coordinated by idiotic press people.

5. More on Clybourne Park in New York (and New York), the most interesting component of which is when they show you how the apartment the play takes place in ages 50 years during one 15 minute intermission.
