2. Now that Jeffrey Fauver has left the Goodman to go to Steppenwolf, he’ll be replaced by Amanda ReCupido, who has worked as Publicity Manager for TimeOut Chicago and New York City’s 92nd Street Y. Her claim to fame there? Becoming the voice behind their Twitter feed, which developed quite a cult following. And speaking of the Goodman, they’ll have Camino Real, a rare Tennessee Williams production that’s being directed by Calixto Bieto. While I wouldn’t say it’s ever a good sign that a production is rarely produced, but is heralded that way, this one is bringing together quite a diverse team. It opens March 3 .

3. Windy City Circus is canceling their Navy Pier performances, which were scheduled to launch February 17. “We are incredibly saddened to report that in this economy as a new non-profit organization, we have fallen short of our projected sponsorship and funding goals,” said Founder David Maas. “We want to ensure that Chicago receives a high-quality production that befits our incredible hometown and will be a successful fundraiser for our charitable partners. We are looking forward to mounting Windy City Circus at a future date, and will continue to strive toward that goal.” All tickets will be refunded.

4. Coming at the end of June: Loretta Lynn at Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace. That should be enough.

5. Rosemont Theatre is changing its name to Akoo Theatre, because of the involvement of Niko Drakoulis, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Akoo International, Inc., a television network you’ve never heard of that has bought the naming rights to the performance space. Updated on 2/15/12 at 10:43 am: A casting invite for a show by Redmoon has been removed, as the event is private.
