Hey, at least there wasn’t a Bartman to mess up Buerhle’s perfect game. But it came close? Sports Illustrated has an article on DeWayne Wise’s catch and his lackluster career up to this point. But the best part is the photo from AP. Take a look at the catch close up and look how close a fan is to actually reaching out and grabbing the ball. Wow, could this have been the last moments of this gentleman’s life? Now in reality, he probably wasn’t that close, but the photo loses that angle. Imagine if he could reach out and grab it. But alas, he didn’t get it and Wise did and history was made. Also, check out the woman two over. I would love to see that photo.
