Disappears perform “Replicate” (Kranky)
In the second installment of WBEZ’s High Fidelity Music Series Chicago’s Disappears treated the intimate crowd to a scorching 40 minute set of krautrock-inspired tunes. The band focused on songs from their recent Kranky release, Pre Language. The addition of Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley makes the looping rhythms all the more precise and driving.
