On November 10, 2008, federal Judge Kocoras will consider releasing the Chicago Public School System from its consent decree to desegregate.  Such a determination effectively would abolish existing racial diversity goals in all Chicago magnet schools.  Listen in to learn the history of desegregation in the CPS system and how racial diversity in magnet schools may be preserved.

Speakers include:  Ricardo Meza, Mexican American Legal Defense Foundation Regional Counsel, and Valerie Johnson, Professor Political Science at DePaul Univerisity.  With Roberto Maldonado, Cook County Commissioner, as Moderator.
