Chrissy Murderbot, aka Chris Shively, likes to bring a wide range of sounds to the decks. He performed several songs for Eight Forty-Eight, including some tracks from his new release Women’s Studies—the mix has proved popular. Among his other gigs, Murderbot is currently one of the few Chicago acts slated for the 2011 Pitchfork Music Festival.

He spoke to host Alison Cuddy about how it all began, and where he hopes to take it in the latest installment of Eight Forty-Eight’s DJ Series.

Upcoming Performances:
June 2: Petting Zoo at Berlin Nightclub
June 6: Dollar Disco at SmartBar
July 16: Pitchfork Music Festival with MC ZULU
