Unlike many Edward Albee plays, ‘Who’s Afraid of Viriginia Woolf?’ appears to be a work of straightforward realism: an older married couple entertains a younger couple through what turns out to be a night-long bout of drinking, fighting and secret-telling. But as always with Albee, there’s more here than meets the eye.

Dueling Critics Jonathan Abarbanel and Kelly Kleiman face off on this Pulitzer-nominated play directed by Pam MacKinnon.

“Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” at Steppenwolf Theatre Company through Feb. 13.
