Among the topics likely to gain traction in the 2012 contest are economic concerns – from gas prices to the widening gap between rich and poor. Northwestern University professor Benjamin Page has spent his career looking at how people decide who to vote for or what policy to support. More recently he’s explored what Americans really think about economic inequality. He is the Gordon S. Fulcher Professor of Decision Making at Northwestern University and a Faculty Associate at the Institute for Policy Research. He is currently conducting the Survey of Economically Successful Americans and the Common Good at NORC at the University of Chicago.
